The Pall-Ex Awards - Working and Winning Together in 2019
For one night a year, Pall-Ex exchanges lorries and pallets for glitz and glamour at our annual awards ceremony for the Pall-Ex awards, which follows our annual member's conference.
These awards celebrate the hard work of our staff and every single one of our member depots across the UK and Europe while celebrating the hard work and achievements of the year.
2018 was no exception, with significant growth in new contracts, members and pallet volumes, the development and launch of our game-changing new software NexusGo, winning the prestigious Motor Transport award for Customer Care and becoming become the first logistics company to be awarded the ISO 45001:2018 in occupational health and safety management.
Pall-Ex Pride for Award-Winning Members
The theme of this years glittering do is working together to win together – a theme which is essential to the continued success and growth of the network as we further improve our teamwork ethos and culture.
The awards were held at the De Vere East Midlands Conference Centre and hosted by stand-up comedian and Take Me Out presenter Paddy McGuinness, who shares his hometown of Bolton with our founder Hilary Devey CBE.
Members from over 90 of our member depots from across the UK and Ireland attended the event, alongside our international partners and quality suppliers.
The prestigious Depot of the Year award, voted for by members of the network, went to Ilkeston-based PMB Pallet Express for its first-class service.
Group managing director Kevin Buchanan selected Wembley’s Premier Palletised Ltd for the Outstanding Contribution to the Network award.
We also celebrated our achievements across the regions of the UK, with regional winners including ADD Express winning for Scotland and the North, Direct Deliveries winning for the Midlands, Surrey Pallitz for the South East and Pall-Ex South West for the South West region.
The awards also saw two new categories, the Staples Award for Delivery Excellence, awarded to Moody Logistic and Storage, and the Jelf award for Excellence in Freight Management, received by JT Leyland. These two new accolades celebrate Pall-Ex’s commitment to ongoing quality partnerships.
We are now looking forward to a successful 2019 and strengthening our service over the next 12 months by working together and winning together.
