An IT strategy to champion B2C deliveries has placed Pall-Ex as one of three finalists at an esteemed industry awards ceremony for two years running.
Being finalists of the prestigious Best Use Of Technology category at the Motor Transport Awards in 2020 is a huge honour for the No.1 network for quality.
Shortlisted for its software module, named MyNexus, the market-leading tracking and visibility system supports the entire network and its customer-base with real-time information on all consignments going through the network.
Built in-house, the system features bespoke modules for B2C deliveries, which is the fastest area of growth for pallet networks.
The value of MyNexus has been underlined during the coronavirus crisis, helping to support businesses as they adapt to an eCommerce model by providing end-users with enhanced visibility and communication. Already a winner of the Global Freight Award in 2019, this established product has supported the network to grow 10% above the market average in 2020 and looks set to enhance the business for many years to come.
Kevin Buchanan, Pall-Ex Group CEO comments: “As a business, we took the decision to embrace the changes within the pallet sector and develop a comprehensive and supportive tool for B2C deliveries.
"We are delighted to be finalists and receive some recognition for the system we have created. The MyNexus product is a key component of our global development strategy and already supports thousands of businesses throughout the UK and Europe.”
The Nexus Project is the firm’s biggest technology investment to date, costing £1.5 million, and is built to bridge the various IT systems of Pall-Ex Group’s 600-plus haulier members, corporate customers and European partners.
Kevin continues: “We are proud of the team’s achievements and the dedication they have shown during the development of this complex project.
“We will continue to develop and deploy modules within our innovative Nexus platform, which will play a key role in driving Pall-Ex forward as we continue to grow within the UK and Europe.”
