Established Surrey logistics firm moves to new purpose built premises

A successful Surrey-based logistics firm has moved to a brand new, bigger site to accommodate future growth.

Surrey Pallitz, which has been a member of the palletised freight network Pall-Ex since 1999, has re-located to a secure 62-acre site on Hobbs Industrial Estate in Lingfield, Surrey.

The new purpose-built facility comprises 20,000 sq ft of the yard, warehouses and modern office buildings on security patrolled site, strategically located to better reflect the company’s customer base and near to Gatwick Airport.

In business for 30 years, Pallitz Ltd started in Charlwood, Surrey, in 1986, before merging with Surrey Pallitz in Croydon in 2005.

Chris Pleece, managing director of Surrey Pallitz, said: “After three decades in operation, we have an incredibly loyal workforce, with three members of staff having in excess of 20 years’ service, and another three over 15 years’ service.

“Surrey Pallitz has grown, thanks in part to our successful partnership with Pall-Ex, and it is now fantastic to be able to bring our clients to a facility we can be proud of.

Kevin Buchanan, group managing director of Pall-Ex, said: “Whenever a member of Pall-Ex – particularly a long-standing member like Surrey Pallitz – hits a milestone in business such as this much-needed move, it really is testament to the hard work, quality of service and customer care that they provide every single day of the year.

“As Pall-Ex approaches, it’s 20th year anniversary, we look forward to celebrating milestones from our members like this, and support them every step of the way to ensure they continue to be a part of one of the UK’s most successful networks.”
