Pall-Ex member Fairbrother prepares for British GT debut

A.D.D.Express owner, David Fairbrother will make his British GT Championship debut at Donington Park in September in a Mercedes-AMG GT4. He will once again team up with Adam Morgan – who raced with David in the 12 Hours of Imola endurance race earlier this year – in a Ciceley Motorsport entry.

Currently competing in his second season in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, Pall-Ex member David sits eighth in the Am standings after missing the first four rounds of the 2018 campaign. Despite starting his motorsport journey later in life, he has had success in a variety of sportscar racing categories. He is the 2015 GT Cup Group GTB Champion and has raced in the Gulf 12 Hours, Dubai 24 Hours, and 24 Hours of COTA, where he finished in third place last year, in his Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car.

Looking ahead to his British GT debut, David comments;

"I’ve always enjoyed endurance racing so I’m really looking forward to a new challenge in the British GT Championship as well as getting to grips with a completely different car. It’s another step up from what I’ve raced before but I know my way around Donington Park which will help.

“There’s a few big 12 and 24-hour races coming up towards the end of this year and it would be incredible to go out there in the Mercedes, so hopefully the weekend is a successful one. I’m no stranger to long stints in the car having been successful in GT Cup and Creventic events and I enjoy challenging myself and pushing to achieve the best possible result." Morgan first raced with Ciceley Motorsport in 2011 when he won the Ginetta GT4 Supercup and is currently in his seventh year of competition in the British Touring Car Championship, where he has taken seven victories, the most recent of which was at Rockingham at the weekend (August 11/12). The team enters Morgan in a Mercedes-Benz A-Class in the BTCC, also supported by Pall-Ex, which has helped it to forge a good relationship with the German manufacturer.
